NYFW Update

I love this "prim and proper" trend that we've been seeing for Fall '12. Feminine silhouettes of Chanel-like suits are carried down the runway with elegance. The 20's and 30's will be fully apparent for Fall '12 and we will once again be graced by the trend of "having class." It's nice to see this look for a change instead of the tired 'let me show every inch of my body.'

The above looks are from Malan Breton and Anna Sui.

I also quite enjoyed seeing looks from Nicholas K, which featured western inspired wear, incorporating key elements that included fringe, cowboy boots, and that turtle shell necklace which I love! I need to get my hands on that... *cough* Nicholas K *cough*

...in my dreams, perhaps.

  1. Totally agree. I'm glad that designers are finally realizing that showing everything your've got isn't hot and never really was. You can dress modestly and still have that appeal of sensuality and mystery. Classy, and chic, with a pinch of elegance goes a long way.
